About MyAdvoKit
MyAdvoKit is a free set of law tools for lawyers and advocates in India: e-Filing bundles with a bilingual index, running page numbers and bookmarks; PDF and Word tools; an IPC to BNS converter; limitation, court fee and interest calculators; a cause list diary; and Marathi OCR. It works in English, मराठी and हिन्दी, needs no account, and works offline once installed.
Who makes it
MyAdvoKit is built and maintained by Saurabh Pagrut.
Your case files stay on your device
PDFs and Word files are read and changed inside your browser and are never uploaded. This is enforced, not just promised: the site's Content Security Policy only lets the page talk to its own address, so the browser itself blocks any attempt to send files elsewhere. There is no analytics, advertising or tracking code. Your cases, presets and reminders are kept in this browser only; Settings can export them to a file and bring them back.
Where the legal data comes from
- IPC to BNS, CrPC to BNSS, Evidence Act to BSA: section numbers follow the comparison summaries published by the Bureau of Police Research and Development for the Ministry of Home Affairs. Subjects are short descriptions, not statutory headings.
- Limitation calculator: periods from the Limitation Act, 1963, with the article shown for each (for example Art. 116 for appeals), and from the NI Act and Consumer Protection Act, 2019 where they apply.
- Court fee calculator: the Maharashtra Court-fees Act, 1959, Schedule I, Article 1, and the Karnataka Court-fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1958, Schedule I, Article 1.
MyAdvoKit helps with the work; it does not give legal advice. Check every section, period and fee against the official text before you rely on it.
