Terms of use
Last updated · MyAdvoKit (myadvokit.saurabhpagrut.in), made by Saurabh Pagrut
MyAdvoKit is free to look around and use. These terms apply once you save your own work in it, such as a matter, task, reminder, note, template or case paper. MyAdvoKit asks you to agree to them the first time you do, and again if they change.
1. A tool for your work, not legal advice
- MyAdvoKit helps with clerical and formatting work: bundles, indexes, page numbers, calculations, conversions, OCR, translation and keeping track of matters.
- It does not give legal advice or legal opinions. Nothing it produces, including limitation dates, court fees, interest, section conversions, templates, chronologies and e-Filing bundles, replaces your own research and professional judgment.
- MyAdvoKit is an independent project. It is not run by, approved by or connected with the e-Committee of the Supreme Court of India, any High Court, district court, tribunal or registry, or any government department.
2. Check everything before you file or rely on it
Laws, court fee schedules, limitation rules, the BNS, BNSS and BSA tables, and e-Filing rules change through amendments, notifications, judgments and registry circulars. The presets are sensible starting points, not registry rules. Before you file a document or rely on a result, check:
- every section number, period, excluded day and court fee against the current Bare Act and official notifications;
- every bundle, index (अनुक्रमणिका), page number, bookmark, margin, PDF/A setting and file name against the current rules of that court or tribunal;
- every OCR result and translation against the original paper.
As the advocate who signs and files, you remain responsible for what is filed.
3. Your data stays on your device, so keep backups
- Your files are read and changed inside your browser and are not uploaded. The site's Content Security Policy only lets the page talk to its own address. MyAdvoKit has no account, and its maker does not receive, store or see your matters, papers or settings.
- What you save is kept only in this browser on this device. It can be lost if browser data is cleared, the browser or device is reset, lost or broken, you use a private window, or the system frees up storage.
- You are responsible for keeping your own backups. Use Settings → Data to save a backup file or set up automatic backups, and keep copies somewhere safe. A backup locked with a password cannot be opened without it, and nobody, including MyAdvoKit's maker, can recover a forgotten password.
4. Provided as it is
MyAdvoKit is offered free of charge, as it is and as available, without any promise that it is error-free, complete, always available or fit for a particular purpose. Features may change or be removed.
5. Limits on responsibility
To the extent the law allows, MyAdvoKit's maker is not responsible for any loss that comes from using it or relying on what it produces, including lost data, missed hearings or deadlines, filing defects or objections, delay, dismissal, wrong calculations, conversions, OCR or translations, and claims by clients or others. Where responsibility cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the extent the law allows.
6. Using it fairly
Use MyAdvoKit only for lawful work, for files you are entitled to handle. Don't try to break or overload the site, or pass off its output as certified by a court or by its maker.
7. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The date above shows the current version, and MyAdvoKit asks again before you next save when they change in a way that matters.
8. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Maharashtra have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
